David joins Arsenal for training
DAVID BECKHAM bends it like the good old days — in a training session with
Arsenal today.
SunSport
revealed this morning that the former England captain would link-up with
the Gunners at their London Colney base.
And he rolled back the years with some trademark passing as well as having a giggle with Jack Wilshere and Co. Becks, 37, is mulling over offers from around the globe as he plots his next move in the game.
Wenger said: “He has asked to come here and to work on his fitness. He has not done anything for a long, long time. “It’s purely for fitness. There’s no speculation about signing or anything.”
“We are open for people who behave well when they come here.”
Beckham lives not far from the Gunners’ training centre in St Albans and trained with Arsenal in 2008.
He moved back to England when he left LA Galaxy at the end of his contract last year after six years playing in the MLS.
